Decentralized prediction market platform Trueo has announced plans to migrate from Base to the Ethereum mainnet. The platform initially launched on Base in March 2025, utilizing the Layer 2 network to navigate higher Ethereum gas fees and support early experimental features.
Reasons for the Migration
According to Trueo, the shift to Ethereum is driven by the network's broader integration potential and product upside. While Base offered a suitable environment for the platform's initial launch, integrations on that network are restricted to its immediate ecosystem.
“The final form of Trueo is to be a platform that is widely adopted, broadly integrated, fully permissionless, mostly immutable, and highly credible. Ethereum is the best fit for this combination of properties,” the project stated on X.
Trueo co-founder “Lumberg” echoed this sentiment on X, stating that Ethereum is the optimal chain for building a credibly neutral and truthful oracle system alongside prediction markets.
Priorities Post-Migration
Following the completion of the migration, Trueo's primary focus will be on attracting liquidity and launching the next iteration of its oracle system. Oracles are the foundational systems used to verify real-world outcomes that ultimately resolve prediction markets.
Data from DefiLlama lists Trueo as the 14th-largest onchain prediction market, maintaining a total value locked of $795,687.
