Trump Media has abandoned its plan to develop Truth Predict, an embedded prediction market for Truth Social, and will instead partner with Crypto.com to offer the exchange's prediction products to its user base.
When Trump Media announced Truth Predict in October 2025, the company intended to make Truth Social the first social media platform with native prediction-market capabilities. Users would have been able to trade contracts on elections, inflation, interest rates, commodities, and sports through Crypto.com's Derivatives North America.
Interim CEO Kevin McGurn cited the crowded prediction-market landscape and the company's decision to focus resources on its media business and a proposed merger with fusion-energy company TAE Technologies. Under the new arrangement, Crypto.com's prediction-market products will be marketed to Truth Social's audience rather than integrated directly into the platform.
Trump Media has indicated it may pursue similar partnerships with other prediction-market providers.
The shift reflects a broader industry pattern in which established exchanges handle the technical and regulatory infrastructure for prediction markets while consumer platforms focus on distribution. Operating a prediction exchange requires managing trading technology, market surveillance, liquidity, compliance, and regulatory obligations. Crypto.com operates through a CFTC-registered derivatives business, allowing Trump Media to expose its audience to prediction markets without assuming those operational burdens.
For Crypto.com, the arrangement provides access to Truth Social's engaged user base as a customer-acquisition channel. Prediction markets are increasingly moving away from standalone crypto products toward financial services distributed through mainstream platforms.
