The transfer occurred as TRUMP experienced a technical pullback after closing August at its highest level of $3. The memecoin subsequently declined more than 2% and faced rejection at the $2.50 resistance level, slipping toward $2.30.
TRUMP had gained 43% during August, marking its first monthly gain since October 2025. The broader crypto market showed bullish momentum at the end of August, with even memecoins trading near multi-month lows climbing by double digits.
Technical Concerns and Market Context
Despite the memecoin's oversold technical indicators, selling pressure from the transfer was not absorbed by typical speculative buying activity. This lack of follow-through buying suggests the transfer may signal deeper concerns rather than simple profit-taking.
