Uniswap Labs has purchased a stake in PONS token as part of a longer-term partnership with the project. The investment announcement, made on September 4, sent PONS to a new all-time high of $0.75.
At the time of reporting, PONS was trading at $0.71, up 40.2% over the previous 24 hours and more than 507% over the past week, according to CoinGecko data. The token had touched $0.75 earlier in the day before retracing slightly. Trading volume surged to $151.8 million in 24-hour volume, a 9% increase from the previous session.
Over longer timeframes, the price movement is more dramatic. PONS has gained more than 1,769% in 14 days and over 2,713% for the month, tracing back to a low of $0.0033 in mid-July.
Platform Activity Drives Momentum
The investment comes as the Pons platform reported rising activity. More than 63% of Robinhood Chain launchpad volume flowed through the protocol over a 24-hour period, during which the launchpad processed $400 million in total volume.
Pons has added tokenized stock pairs to its platform, including UPS, Snap, Lululemon, Figma, Moderna, Pfizer, Rivian, Marvell, and Johnson & Johnson.
Deflationary Mechanics
PONS has incorporated deflationary mechanics since its launch. The project reports that 29.34% of the total PONS supply has been burned to date, with 80% of protocol fees directed toward ongoing token buybacks and burns.
