This increased network activity has substantially raised Uniswap's fees and revenue. On September 4th, daily fees reached $12.5 million while revenue exceeded $1 million, according to DeFiLlama data. The surge in activity corresponded with record token burns.
Daily UNI burns reached $1.15 million, marking the first time the daily burn value surpassed $1 million. Approximately 184,000 UNI tokens were burned that day—the second-highest daily total on record—with Robinhood Chain generating roughly 150,000 of that amount. On the same day, Robinhood DEX volume surpassed $3 billion for the first time, with Uniswap accounting for 98% of that activity.
Token burns reduce the circulating supply of UNI, though the price impact depends on market demand and the size of remaining supply. Despite the record burns, Uniswap faced selling pressure from spot traders, with exchange inflows indicating potential profit-taking activity.
Market structure indicators showed mixed signals. The Positive Directional Indicator remained above the Negative Directional Indicator, suggesting buyers maintained directional control. The Average Directional Index remained above its simple moving average, supporting trend strength, while the Advance Decline Ratio held above 1, confirming broader bullish participation.
