US Altcoin ETFs Draw Nearly $90 Million Amid Broad Market Rally

US-listed crypto exchange-traded funds outside of Bitcoin and Ethereum drew nearly $90 million last week as investors followed a sharp market rally into altcoins including XRP, Solana, Chainlink, and Hyperliquid.

Data from SoSoValue shows that while spot Bitcoin funds pulled in $1.92 billion and Ethereum products added $697 million during the week ended Aug. 21, smaller altcoin funds also extended their inflow streaks as participation broadened.

XRP and Solana Lead Altcoin Inflows

XRP investment products led the altcoin group with $39.78 million in net inflows, marking their strongest performance since the week ended May 15. The intake extended XRP's positive weekly flow streak to six weeks, bringing cumulative net inflows since launch to roughly $1.55 billion alongside a record weekly trading volume of $271.74 million. During the week, XRP climbed roughly 50% to as high as $1.60 before retreating to $1.49.

Solana funds followed with $28.34 million, securing their eighth consecutive week of positive flows. The eight-week run lifted cumulative net inflows to around $1.19 billion. SOL jumped about 24%, briefly trading above $100 for the first time since February before slipping back to approximately $93.

Hyperliquid and Chainlink See Notable Gains

Hyperliquid (HYPE) funds attracted $3.89 million for a third consecutive positive week, pushing cumulative net inflows near $287 million and assets above $350 million. HYPE reached a record price of about $82 before easing to $79. The move received a policy catalyst when President Donald Trump highlighted efforts during an Aug. 19 White House meeting with crypto executives to establish a legal operating route for Hyperliquid in the US, while also urging Congress to advance crypto market-structure legislation.

Chainlink funds recorded their largest weekly inflow since their debut week, bringing in $13.35 million and pushing cumulative net inflows to roughly $142 million. LINK gained about 22% to touch $12 for the first time since January before retreating to $11.40.

Meanwhile, demand further down the ETF market remained modest, with Avalanche products attracting about $1.3 million, Hedera funds drawing roughly $848,000, and Dogecoin ETFs adding $654,416.
