Wirex One Launches as Stablecoin Neobank on Arc Mainnet

Wirex has launched Wirex One, a stablecoin neobank built for affluent consumers, to the public as a day-one launch partner on Arc's mainnet. The platform completed a closed beta phase that attracted over 20,000 users since June and is now available globally.

Wirex One integrates with Arc, an open blockchain network designed for financial markets and real-time money movement, as its settlement layer. The platform is positioned to serve a market segment described as too wealthy for retail banking but below the threshold for traditional private banking services.

Platform Features and Services

At launch, Wirex One offers a stablecoin-funded card with cashback rewards, access to crypto and stablecoin yield features, multi-currency accounts, and support for international transfers via SEPA, ACH, Faster Payments, and crypto transfers. The platform provides ATM withdrawals and foreign exchange services globally.

The service incorporates non-custodial wallet technology through a partnership with Privy, allowing users to maintain direct asset ownership. A membership model offers tiered benefits including higher rewards, fee-free trading, and discounts on premium subscriptions.

Wirex's Infrastructure Expansion

The launch represents a milestone for Wirex's broader infrastructure strategy. The company, which holds principal membership with both Visa and Mastercard, provides settlement services in USDC and EURC. Wirex operates multiple products on its infrastructure including Wirex Business for companies and Wirex Agents for AI transactions.

Wirex reported that its infrastructure recently reached $2 billion in annualized card spend volume. The company operates across 130 countries and has processed more than $20 billion in cumulative transactions since 2014.

Wirex One plans to expand to include tokenised equities and perpetuals in coming weeks.
