World Liberty Financial [WLFI] experienced significant trading activity over the past 24 hours, with volume across spot and perpetual markets reaching $196.23 million. The token's price climbed more than 18%, marking its largest single-day gain to date.
The rally coincides with a surge in long positioning across major exchanges. Binance, which controls approximately 15.74% of overall trading volume, led the activity, along with exchanges including MEXC and Hyperliquid. Analysis showed that more than 50% of trades across these venues took long positions rather than short positions during the period.
On-Chain Metrics Support Bullish Activity
The Open Interest-Weighted Funding Rate reached 0.0085%, indicating greater capital concentration on the long side of the market. Open Interest rose approximately 12%, peaking at $245.10 million. Protocol fees also surged to $386,000 in a single day, the highest level since July 14.
These metrics—rising funding rates, growing open interest, and increased fee generation—typically reflect elevated market participation and protocol usage.
Sentiment Remains Disconnected
Despite the rally and positive on-chain signals, sentiment indicators turned negative. This divergence suggests investors may not have fully recognized the price movement or consider current levels overvalued.
The contrast between bullish technical indicators and weakening sentiment presents competing signals for market participants assessing WLFI's near-term direction.
