Wonderful, an Israeli-Dutch enterprise AI startup, raised $550 million in Series C funding on September 2, valuing the company at $5 billion. The valuation more than doubles the $2 billion the startup commanded when it raised its Series B round in March.
Insight Partners led the round, marking its second investment in Wonderful. Salesforce entered as a new investor, while existing backers Index Ventures, IVP, Vine Ventures, 9Yards, and Bessemer Venture Partners participated again.
Jeff Horing, co-founder and managing director of Insight Partners, cited Wonderful's success in early deployments at major enterprises. "Wonderful is pursuing one of the largest opportunities in enterprise AI," he said in the announcement. Insight Partners manages more than $90 billion in regulatory assets and has invested in over 900 companies.
From AI Agents to Operating System
Founded in early 2025, Wonderful initially released a customer-service AI agent product designed for non-English-speaking markets, supported by embedded engineering teams who integrated the technology into clients' existing systems.
The company has since evolved to offer what it calls the Wonderful AI OS, a platform layer designed to coordinate agents, workflows, AI-native applications, company data, and existing integrations. The system is model-agnostic and works with customers' current technology stacks.
Roey Lalazar, Wonderful's CTO and co-founder, stated that customers can "adopt whichever parts of the platform make the most sense, integrate them with existing systems, choose the best models for each workload, and retain ownership of everything they build."
Enterprise Foundation Layer
CEO and co-founder Bar Winkler compared the company's positioning to the emergence of cloud computing as foundational infrastructure. "Just as cloud platforms became the foundation of the modern enterprise, AI operating systems will become the foundation of every enterprise," he said, warning that without a shared layer, AI "risks recreating the sprawl of traditional SaaS."
Since March, Wonderful has expanded to more than 35 markets and grown to 650 employees. The company plans to use the fresh capital for product development, expanding forward-deployed engineering teams, and addressing growing platform demand.
