World XYZ, a fully onchain prediction market running on Solana, experienced a temporary website outage on September 9, 2026, within hours of its standalone site launch. The platform buckled under high traffic after accumulating a waitlist of over one million users ahead of the release.
The project team moved quickly to reassure users that all funds were safe and the platform itself was functioning properly, clarifying that the outage was strictly a traffic problem rather than a security breach. The site was deliberately taken offline to address the overload instead of leaving users with a broken experience.
World XYZ originally launched on July 1, 2026, integrated directly inside the Phantom wallet. During its first two months of operation through that integration, the platform facilitated the creation of over 150,000 markets covering crypto price benchmarks, sports matches, and political results. The September rollout marked its expansion to a public-facing standalone website.
Operating as a non-custodial platform, World XYZ allows users to retain control of their assets until they enter a market. Binary yes/no contracts are priced on a $0 to $1 scale and settled using CASH, the Phantom wallet’s native stablecoin. Market resolution is handled through Chainlink’s Data Streams and Runtime Environment, which automates settlements using real-world data feeds.
Prior to its development path, World XYZ had explored a potential migration to Robinhood Chain, though that move did not occur. The platform continues to operate on the Solana network, maintaining its ties to the Phantom ecosystem through its CASH stablecoin settlement layer.
