Worldcoin has expanded its presence in the financial sector with the launch of a World ID suite for banks and financial institutions. The rollout includes an identity wallet app, real-time Zoom verification, and cryptographic proofs for AI agents that handle transactions.
The technology is designed to help financial institutions establish trust through privacy-preserving methods. According to World Network, the Zoom ID feature allows meeting participants to confirm they are the same person verified by an orb, while the agent ID enables AI systems to carry proofs delegated by actual people.
The initiative addresses growing security concerns in finance. Advanced AI capabilities have made impersonation increasingly convincing, creating significant challenges for financial institutions globally. Worldcoin has positioned World ID as a solution to mitigate these AI-related risks.
World collaborated with major institutions on the design, including Bain Capital, OpenExchange, Outtake, Pantera Capital, and VanEck Funds.
Despite the announcement, the WLD token has shown limited market movement. As of October 19, WLD was trading around $0.48 to $0.49, remaining below the $0.50 level amid selling pressure from both spot and derivatives markets. Over the previous 24 hours, futures outflows of $234 million exceeded inflows of $215 million, resulting in a net outflow of approximately $18.9 million.
