X filed a lawsuit in London's High Court on September 17 against Vivek Kumar Sen, Zamyang Sherpa, and unnamed others, alleging they operated a coordinated bot network to fraudulently extract at least £207,384 from its Creator Revenue Sharing program.
According to the complaint, six accounts—including @Vivek4real_, @saylordocs, and @TrendingBitcoin—were enrolled between 2023 and 2026 and used cross-posting and coordinated engagement to fake audience interaction on Bitcoin-related content. The accounts posted near-identical content seconds apart and liked each other's tweets to manipulate engagement metrics.
How the Scheme Operated
Creator Revenue Sharing pays creators a cut of ad revenue based on engagement metrics including likes, replies, and reposts. Accounts must have an X Premium subscription, five million impressions over three months, and 500 verified followers to qualify.
The lawsuit details specific examples of the alleged scheme. On October 10, 2025, two accounts posted an identical line—"Like, if you are not selling #Bitcoin"—alongside the same chart, just two minutes apart. Multiple other near-identical posts were allegedly made seconds apart across the network.
Payouts are processed through Stripe accounts. X alleges that Stripe profile names did not match the account operators. In one instance, an account's Stripe profile listed "Stefan Mann," but the linked bank account and email traced back to Sen. Both men are reportedly based in Preston, England.
X also claims Sen attempted to expand the operation by recruiting additional high-follower accounts. In a quoted message, Sen allegedly wrote: "Can we continue on another channel, please as you haven't enabled encrypted chat and I don't want us to get in trouble for something X doesn't allow."
Program Shutdown and Legal Action
X suspended all nine accounts on August 18 and shut down Creator Revenue Sharing on September 7. The program has been replaced with Original Content Rewards, which excludes artificially generated engagement from payouts.
X General Counsel James Burnham confirmed the filing, stating: "We do not tolerate fraudulent behavior on X—and will act forcefully to protect our platform and the earnings of genuine creators."
The lawsuit seeks recovery of the $278,000 in fraudulent payouts, plus damages, interest, and legal costs. X also claims it spent at least £75,000 investigating the scheme. The suit alleges deceit, unjust enrichment, and unlawful means conspiracy—a UK legal claim for parties using illegitimate methods to cause financial harm. The case is filed under claim number BL-2026-001161.
