X Internet Unlimited Company and X Corp have filed a lawsuit against Vivek Kumar Sen, Zamyang Sherpa, and other Bitcoin influencers in the UK High Court, alleging fraud related to the Creator Revenue Sharing program.
According to the lawsuit, the defendants operated a coordinated network of accounts that published identical or nearly similar content, engaged in mutual likes and reposts, and artificially manipulated engagement metrics to evade platform enforcement. The platform alleges they fraudulently obtained at least £207,384 from the program and used multiple bank accounts to conceal their scheme.
X has suspended the accounts involved and is seeking the return of funds, damages, interest, and legal costs. The company also estimates investigation, analysis, and remediation costs at approximately £75,000.
James Burnham, general counsel at X, stated: "We do not tolerate fraudulent behavior on X and will act forcefully to protect our platform and the earnings of genuine creators."
The lawsuit follows an earlier allegation from Nikita Bier, former product lead at X, who revealed that one individual had operated more than 10 profiles and extracted over $250,000 from revenue sharing over two years. That matter was referred to law enforcement.
In response to the fraud concerns, X has ended the Creator Revenue Sharing program and now offers an Original Content Rewards program for eligible creators. The platform continues efforts to combat engagement farming, content recycling, and inauthentic networks that divert earnings from legitimate creators.
