A new organization named XRP Asia has officially launched with backing from Ripple and the XRP Ledger Foundation. Headquartered in Singapore, the initiative aims to expand the adoption of the XRP Ledger (XRPL) across the Asia-Pacific region by combining developer education, startup assistance, and community programs.
Sabrina Tachdjian leads the newly formed group. Tachdjian previously served as vice president of fintech and payments at the Hedera Foundation and headed blockchain investments at messaging company LINE. According to the organization's launch announcement, XRP Asia intends to build upon existing regional efforts like XRPL Korea and XRPL Japan while establishing new communities in other Asian cities.
Developer Training and Enterprise Focus
XRP Asia's educational initiatives are designed to reach beyond traditional hackathons. The organization plans to offer scalable learning materials, office hours, and development sessions tailored to Asia-Pacific time zones. Additionally, a new System Integrator Partnership Program will target system integrators and software development companies to help them build applications on the ledger.
This enterprise focus follows previous regional collaborations, including Ripple's 2024 partnership with Tokyo-based consulting firm Hashkey DX and SBI Ripple Asia to introduce supply chain finance solutions in Japan.
Startup Support and Funding Access
In addition to technical programs, XRP Asia will provide business assistance to startups building on the XRPL. The organization plans to help founders navigate infrastructure providers, facilitate partner introductions, and connect teams with grants and incubation programs.
These efforts align with existing regional funding channels established by Ripple, such as the Japan and Korea Fund introduced in June 2024. Furthermore, Ripple partnered with Web3 Salon in June 2025 to offer Japanese XRPL startups up to $200,000 per project alongside mentorship and investor access.
