XRP has broken above a falling trendline, according to crypto analyst Ali Martinez, who identified the move as a confirmed breakout on the 1-hour chart. The token is currently trading near $1.40 after pulling back from a recent high of $1.69.
Martinez identified $1.70 as the next target following the breakout. The $1.50 level represents the first near-term hurdle, with potential resistance zones at $2.09 and $2.35 if momentum continues. Support for the breakout sits at $1.37, with a break below that level potentially pushing XRP toward $1.20.
Institutional interest in XRP has strengthened amid the technical setup. U.S. spot XRP ETFs attracted $110.49 million in net inflows for the week ending August 28, marking their strongest weekly performance of 2026. Cumulative ETF inflows have reached approximately $1.66 billion, with total net assets near $1.44 billion. Bitwise's XRP ETF leads among spot products with cumulative inflows exceeding $600 million, while Franklin's XRPZ recorded $462.86 million in inflows.
Traders are monitoring September 15, 2026, when the U.S. Senate is scheduled to vote on the CLARITY Act. The legislation could establish clearer regulatory treatment for digital assets and potentially lower barriers for financial institutions entering the crypto market.
