Spot XRP ETFs recorded $8.43 million in net inflows on October 29, marking their strongest single-day performance since September 25. The inflow represents a divergence between weakening technical price action and growing institutional demand for the asset.
XRP fell below the $1.25 support level following market turbulence, losing over 6.5% of its value and returning to levels last seen in mid-August. Despite the price decline, institutional interest continued to build, with combined ETF holdings now representing 1.87% of XRP's circulating supply.
Institutional Developments Support Positioning
Recent weeks have brought several institutional developments. BNY Mellon included XRP in corporate payments, Standard Chartered launched XRP custody services, Ripple secured final U.S. approval for Ripple Bank, and Coinbase added support for RLUSD stablecoin.
Q3 Performance and Network Growth
XRP experienced a 43% rally during the third quarter, driven significantly by institutional flows. Global XRP ETPs saw net inflows jump 39.6% to $355.3 million during Q3, bringing total assets under management to $3.32 billion. On-chain metrics showed stablecoin supply on the XRP Ledger increased 25.2% to $1.03 billion, while distributed tokenized real-world asset value grew 29.2% to $498.7 million.
The combination of technical weakness and rising institutional inflows suggests positioning ahead of potential market recovery, though the near-term outlook remains uncertain amid broader market conditions.
