Two regulatory filings in September detail XRP's inclusion in proposed crypto investment products at different stages of approval.
The Cryptex Digital Market Cap ETF, a multi-asset crypto fund proposed for Nasdaq trading under the ticker BAGZ, filed a pre-effective amendment on September 11 listing XRP as an eligible component. According to the filing, XRP carries a 4.36% weight in the underlying Cryptex Digital Market Cap Index and a 4.41% indicated fund weight after the fund applies additional eligibility screens.
In the index composition, XRP ranks above Chainlink at 3.15%, Solana at 2.80%, and Avalanche at 2.13%. Bitcoin and Ethereum hold the largest allocations at 25.83% and 13.55%, respectively. The index contains 36 total assets, though the fund's screening process narrows eligible constituents to 19.
The Cryptex product remains in pre-effective status and has not begun trading. A pre-effective registration filing is a disclosure step before sales may commence. The fund must complete its approval process and satisfy exchange listing requirements before shares can trade.
In a separate filing, Listed Funds Trust moved the effectiveness date for its Teucrium 2x Short Daily XRP ETF to October 11, 2026. The fund seeks negative twice XRP's daily return before fees and expenses, using financial instruments including swaps rather than direct shorting. The amendment provides no stated reason for the date change and does not announce a trading debut date.
The short fund resets its exposure daily. The prospectus warns that compounding and volatility can cause returns over longer periods to diverge from negative twice XRP's cumulative performance, and that investors may lose money even when XRP declines over time. The fund is described as a short-term trading vehicle requiring active monitoring.
