XRP is trading in a tightening range as its four-hour Bollinger Bands compress to their narrowest levels since August, according to crypto analyst Ali Charts. The setup has drawn attention because the last time the bands were similarly compressed, XRP rallied 71% within three days. However, a Bollinger Bands squeeze signals declining volatility rather than a confirmed direction, and the price can move sharply either way once volatility expands.
Key Levels to Watch
Ali Charts identified two levels that could determine XRP's next move:
- $1.27: A four-hour candle close above this level would signal a bullish breakout.
- $1.23: A four-hour close below this level would strengthen the bearish outlook.
Until either level breaks, the analyst considers the $1.23–$1.27 range a no-trade zone.
Whale Withdrawal Adds to Market Focus
Transaction data shows an unidentified whale withdrew 50 million XRP from Binance, valued at approximately $62.4 million at the time. Large exchange withdrawals can indicate that investors are moving tokens into private wallets rather than keeping them readily available for trading. However, a withdrawal alone does not confirm long-term accumulation or an intention to hold; the destination and subsequent movement of the tokens will be important in determining the transaction's significance.
Price Analysis
XRP's four-hour chart shows the token trading within a narrowing range after an extended decline. The immediate resistance stands at $1.27. A confirmed four-hour close above this level could improve buying momentum and bring $1.30 into focus. On the downside, $1.23 remains the key support. A break below this level could expose XRP to further selling pressure and weaken the recovery outlook.
Neither direction has been confirmed. A decisive candle close beyond the $1.23–$1.27 range, supported by stronger trading volume, would provide a clearer indication of the next trend. The previous 71% rally following a similar setup does not guarantee another sharp rise, and XRP remains in a consolidation phase until one of the levels gives way.
