The XRP network experienced a sharp surge in on-chain activity, with active addresses climbing by more than 650% over a two-week period. According to data from Santiment, active addresses rose by 654.71% between August 10 and August 24, moving from 47,180 active addresses to 356,070 accounts.
This increase in daily network activity coincided with a rise in XRP's market capitalization, which grew by more than $31.27 billion over a seven-day period to reach $93.8 billion on August 25. XRP's price also rallied, trading at $1.49 following a 50.22% increase over seven days, while 24-hour trading volume rose by 4.67% to approximately $6.33 billion.
Drivers of Network Activity
The spike in daily active addresses accompanied renewed demand, reflected in growth across Artificial Intelligence (AI) agent transactions and spot Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs). Metrics from t54 indicated that the XRP Ledger recorded 5,355.43 tokens settled through AI agent transactions, marking a 38% increase over 30 days.
Meanwhile, data from SoSoValue showed that United States spot XRP ETFs recorded only one week of cash outflows since July 1, 2026. These funds attracted $95.65 million between July 1 and August 24, holding $1.44 billion at the time of publication.
