XRP has reversed its recent rebound and retreated toward a key demand zone near $1.28, according to technical analysis. The cryptocurrency faced rejection at descending resistance in the $1.37–$1.40 area, reinforcing a pattern of lower highs established since September.
Daily Chart Structure
On the daily timeframe, XRP remains within a descending channel. The most recent recovery attempt encountered the channel's upper boundary before reversing sharply. Consecutive bearish candles have pushed the price back into the $1.25–$1.32 demand zone, which previously supported a rebound but has failed to sustain buyer interest this time.
A decisive close below $1.25 would signal a loss of the demand zone and could expose support at $1.20, with the next highlighted support area around $1.09–$1.14. To improve conditions, the cryptocurrency would need to hold the current demand zone and reclaim $1.32, though the broader descending resistance structure and the $1.48–$1.53 supply zone remain significant barriers.
Shorter-Term Pressure
On the 4-hour chart, XRP briefly moved above its earlier high near $1.39 into the $1.38–$1.40 supply zone before rapidly reversing. This failed breakout suggests renewed bearish momentum, with the price now testing the upper boundary of the $1.25–$1.28 demand zone.
A bounce remains possible, but the speed of the decline increases the risk of another test of $1.25. For buyers to ease immediate pressure, XRP needs to recover $1.30–$1.32 and establish a higher low, followed by a break above descending resistance.
