Large XRP withdrawals from crypto exchange Binance have reached their highest 30-day total in seven months, according to analysis published by Cryptoquant on October 7. The 30-day whale outflow total reached approximately 1.38 billion XRP, measured as tokens moved away from the platform.
Whales are large holders capable of moving substantial volumes. The rebound follows an earlier period of declining activity, with XRP trading near $1.50 at the time of the analysis.
Supply and Custody Considerations
Sustained transfers off Binance could reduce tokens readily available for sale on the platform, depending on their destinations. However, withdrawn assets can take various paths: they may be transferred to other exchanges, moved into self-custody arrangements, or stored in cold storage with offline signing keys.
The reported 1.38 billion XRP figure measures outflows as a 30-day sum and cannot be directly equated with a decline in Binance's total reserves, as the distinction between gross outflows and net flows determines what the headline total represents.
ETF Inflows and Price Movement
U.S. XRP exchange-traded funds recorded $3.14 million in net inflows on October 6. Asset management firm Bitwise attracted $10.55 million, while withdrawals from other issuers offset much of that contribution. XRP subsequently fell from approximately $1.52 to $1.46 in early October 7.
Derivatives data showed reduced liquidation pressure on Binance, which can ease forced selling conditions. Large withdrawals alone do not establish long-term accumulation patterns among investors.
