Tokenized stock traders kept buying even as equity markets wobbled, according to data from Token Terminal. xStocks’ on-chain assets under management (AUM) rose from $868 million to $1.03 billion, a 19.1% increase over a month.
Falling prices reduced that total by about $52 million, but new money more than compensated, with $209 million in net inflows. That works out to roughly four dollars coming in for every dollar lost to price declines, a pattern that held broadly across the platform.
Buyers step in despite price declines
Among the top 25 xStocks, 19 saw their prices fall, yet 18 of those still attracted more money than they lost. Gold ETF GLDx was the only one where money was lost to outflows.
SOXLx, a 3x leveraged chip ETF, illustrates the trend: its price dropped 40%, while its net inflows were nearly 135%.
Market cap crosses $1 billion
xStocks’ tokenized stocks are now worth $1 billion on-chain, according to Token Terminal, up from about a ninth of that size a year ago—a growth of 802.5%.
Strategy-linked tokens accounted for a significant share. SRTCx, the preferred stock, was the largest token at $144.7 million at press time, followed by MSTRx at $124.4 million. Together, the two represented $269.1 million.
DeFi use grows sharply
These tokens are not merely being held. Across all issuers, more than $300 million in tokenized stocks have been moved into DeFi, up about 2,451% over the year.
At the time of writing, xStocks had the largest share at $118.3 million, followed by Robinhood at $70.8 million and Binance’s bStocks at $38.4 million.
AMBCrypto previously reported that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission had named tokenization as one of its examination priorities for fiscal year 2027. That does not imply new rules or a ban, but firms offering these products can expect closer scrutiny.
