Grayscale has advanced its plans for a Zcash exchange-traded fund by filing a fifth amendment, which establishes clearer terms for the conversion of the existing Grayscale Zcash Trust. The Friday filing outlines a 2.5% annual sponsor fee, designates the planned ticker as

, and confirms intentions to list the product on NYSE Arca.Under the updated registration, Bank of New York Mellon is designated to serve as the transfer agent, while Coinbase Custody Trust Company would safeguard the underlying ZEC supporting continuously issued fund shares. The conversion builds upon the existing Grayscale Zcash Trust, which held over $260 million in assets at the time of the amendment.
The application also references nonbinding discussions involving DCG International Investments, a subsidiary of Grayscale's parent company, regarding a potential contribution of approximately 200,000 ZEC in exchange for fund shares. The filing notes that this arrangement remains subject to change or cancellation.
Regulatory approval from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has not yet been granted, and NYSE Arca still requires authorization to list and trade the shares. Bloomberg Intelligence analyst James Seyffart noted that the filing indicates progress toward conversion, though no specific launch date or SEC timetable has been finalized.
