ZetaChain token holders have overwhelmingly approved a governance proposal to migrate ZETA onto the Solana blockchain. Proposal 68 closed with 99.4% support and approximately 58% voter participation, exceeding the 40% quorum requirement.
Under the approved plan, ZETA will transition to a native Solana SPL token on a 1:1 basis. The token ticker will remain unchanged, total supply is intended to remain constant, and the proposal does not authorize new token issuance as part of the migration.
The migration framework provides token holders with clear economic terms, though operational details remain subject to future governance decisions. ZetaChain reports that more than 300,000 Anuma accounts are part of the broader ecosystem transition.
ZetaChain L1 Still Operating
The passage of Proposal 68 does not immediately halt the existing ZetaChain Layer 1 blockchain or open token claims. Validators continue operating and staking rewards remain active during this initial phase.
A later governance proposal is expected to establish the final snapshot block, withdrawal window, network halt block, and exchange-swap schedule. ERC-20 and BSC versions of ZETA are unaffected by Proposal 68 itself.
While the governance direction is now settled, the migration process remains incomplete. ZETA is heading toward Solana but has not yet finished the transition.
