Sector-Specific Gains
Communication Services earnings estimates jumped to 51% growth from the expected 26% at the start of the second quarter, while Consumer Discretionary forecasts rose to 32% from 12%, driven in part by Amazon's results.
Energy and information technology sectors face the most dramatic projections, with energy companies expecting 83% growth and information technology expecting 59% growth, reflecting gains from AI infrastructure spending.
Enterprise AI Systems Expanding
The enterprise agentic AI market is expected to grow significantly in coming years. These systems can reason and execute tasks with minimal human oversight.
Market projections indicate the enterprise agentic AI sector could expand from $2.6 billion to $24.5 billion by 2030, more than a ninefold increase. By 2028, approximately 30% of enterprise applications are expected to embed autonomous agents.
Adoption is anticipated to expand across customer service, operations, finance, human resources, and cybersecurity. The shift represents AI moving from assisting humans to executing and orchestrating work, which could reduce operating costs and improve operational efficiency.
