Binance announced it will shut down Binance Pool and several related services effective November 10, 2026 at 07:00 UTC. The closure includes Pool Savings, Cloud Mining, Transaction Accelerator, and associated features such as Telegram hashrate alerts and the pool's API.
Binance Pool combined computing power from multiple miners and distributed block rewards based on individual contributions. Cloud Mining allowed users to purchase hashrate without owning hardware, while Transaction Accelerator helped expedite Bitcoin transactions facing confirmation delays.
The pool launched in April 2020 and ranked ninth among Bitcoin mining pools by the end of 2025, controlling approximately 26 exahashes per second, representing 2.3% of the Bitcoin network. According to Hashrate Index, Binance Pool was the last remaining mining pool from the period when cryptocurrency exchanges expanded into mining operations.
Miners must redirect their hardware to alternative pools before the cutoff date. Pool Savings users must unsubscribe or redeem their positions before the service ends. Binance will process outstanding rewards, balances, and refunds after the shutdown, subject to product rules, account status, and compliance checks. Mining pool pages will remain viewable until November 24, 2026, then become permanently inaccessible.
The pool closure aligns with Binance's strategic shift toward traditional finance. In June 2026, the exchange opened access to over 7,000 U.S. stocks and ETFs for customers outside the United States, offering zero-commission trading and fractional purchases starting at $5. Binance also previewed bStocks, a forthcoming feature enabling users to mint tokenized versions of purchased shares on the BNB blockchain. The exchange previously closed its centralized NFT service in July 2025.
