Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs Post Strong Weekly Inflows, Reversing Year-to-Date Outflows

Spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded $2.39 billion in net inflows during the week, marking a significant reversal for the funds' year-to-date performance. The inflows pushed cumulative net flows into positive territory for the first time since early in the year, reaching $925 million in the green.

Daily inflows during the week included $1 billion on Monday, $714.75 million on Tuesday, $346.98 million on Wednesday, $190.65 million on Thursday, and $134.47 million on Friday. The cumulative total net inflows for spot Bitcoin ETFs reached $57.55 billion.

The turnaround comes after significant outflows in the first half of the year. In June, investors withdrew a record $4.51 billion from the funds, following May outflows of $2.43 billion. Year-to-date flows had declined to nearly $5.5 billion in the red by the end of June.

Conditions improved beginning in July, when the ETFs attracted $172 million in net inflows. August saw substantially stronger activity with $3.52 billion in inflows, and September inflows reached $2.7 billion through the reporting period.

Spot Ethereum ETFs also performed strongly, attracting $689.88 million in net inflows during the week and erasing losses from the previous week. The cumulative net inflows for Ethereum ETFs reached $13.94 billion, a new multi-month high. Monday's inflows alone totaled nearly $270 million, with gains continuing throughout the remainder of the week.
