Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs Record Largest Single-Day Inflows Since October 2025

US spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs recorded their largest single-day inflows since October 2025 on Monday, September 21, with Bitcoin ETFs drawing $998.95 million and Ethereum ETFs capturing $269.98 million.

The inflow marked Bitcoin ETFs' biggest day since October 6, 2025, and Ethereum ETFs' strongest performance since October 7, 2025. Spot SOL and XRP ETFs logged $26.1 million and zero net flows respectively on the same day.

BlackRock Leads Bitcoin ETF Inflows

BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) captured the largest share of Bitcoin ETF inflows with $381.4 million. ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB) followed with $289.1 million, while Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) received $238.8 million. Grayscale, Bitwise, and Morgan Stanley also recorded positive inflows across their respective funds.

Monday's inflow set a new 2026 record for daily Bitcoin ETF activity, surpassing the previous high of $844 million set on January 14. However, it remains below the $1.2 billion recorded on October 6, 2025.

Year-to-Date Performance and Cumulative Flows

US spot Bitcoin ETFs have experienced net outflows of approximately $464 million for the year to date, following significant June redemptions of roughly $4.5 billion. The sector has shown recent recovery, with August recording $3.52 billion in net inflows. Since inception on January 11, 2024, these products have accumulated approximately $55.6 billion in cumulative net inflows.

Market Price Action and Technical Levels

Bitcoin traded near $86,000 early Tuesday after reaching approximately $87,300 on Monday, its highest level since January 2026. Ether rose nearly 11 percent over the preceding week.

Crypto liquidations totaled $1.06 billion over 24 hours, with approximately $844 million stemming from short positions. An analyst at CryptoQuant noted that Bitcoin had moved above its 365-day moving average.

Factors Supporting the Rally

Analysts attributed the rebound to a combination of factors including softer oil prices, easing Treasury yields, and a scheduled meeting between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Market observers noted that sustained spot ETF inflows could signal underlying institutional demand, with attention focused on whether Bitcoin maintains support above $85,000 and Ether holds above $2,700.
