Bitcoin cash was the standout performer, rising 32% over 24 hours to $351.59 following the CME's announcement of futures listings for both bitcoin cash and Uniswap. Open interest in bitcoin cash futures rose nearly 7% to its highest level since August 22.

Crypto futures trading volume fell 21% to $227 billion in 24 hours, while open interest edged up 1% to $159.4 billion. Taker flow turned decisively short for the first time in over a week, with shorts accounting for 51% of volume. Bitcoin's open interest remained flat despite the price dip, suggesting de-risking rather than fresh short conviction.
Margin borrow costs for USDT on Binance stood at 5.49%, the highest since October and just below last week's 5.52% peak.

Brent crude fell below $100 for the first time since September 9, trading at $99.13 on optimism surrounding potential U.S.-Iran negotiations. Gold declined 0.85% to $4,321, while silver fell 2.2% to $65.53. The dollar index rose 0.21% to 100.76.
The DeFi Select Index gained 0.83% on the day and 9.6% over 24 hours, with gains concentrated in aave and aerodrome finance. Worldcoin led decliners at 3.0% lower, followed by polkadot at 2.9%.
