Bitcoin's seven-session spot ETF inflow streak faces a concentrated macro test as three critical U.S. economic reports land simultaneously at 8:30 a.m. ET on Aug. 26. The data releases arrive following a period of substantial recent gains for the cryptocurrency.
Incoming Economic Data
The U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis is scheduled to publish July Personal Income and Outlays—including the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) inflation indexes—alongside its second estimate of second-quarter Gross Domestic Product. Simultaneously, the U.S. Census Bureau will release July advance durable-goods orders.
Ahead of the data release, the Cleveland Fed's Aug. 25 nowcast estimated July headline PCE inflation at 0.15% month-over-month and 3.65% year-over-year, with core PCE projected at 0.25% monthly and 3.29% annually. Official results will provide definitive figures to compare against these model estimates.
ETF Inflow Streak and Market Context
Data from Farside Investors shows that U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded seven consecutive positive inflow sessions from Aug. 17 through Aug. 25, adding a combined $2.5697 billion in net inflows. However, aggregate fund-flow data do not identify end investors or establish broad institutional participation on its own.
The inflows have also shown high concentration. BlackRock’s IBIT accounted for $284.4 million of the $314.3 million total recorded on Aug. 25, representing about 90.5% of the latest daily inflow.
Entering the data release window, Bitcoin traded near $78,508, down roughly 2% over 24 hours but up about 22.8% over seven days. Meanwhile, the official Treasury curve placed the 10-year yield at 4.64% on Aug. 25, with overnight quotes near 4.65%, and the U.S. Dollar Index hovered near 99.00.
