Bitcoin Price Predictions Range from $10K to $400K as Market Sentiment Shifts

Bitcoin's price has climbed 26% over the past 30 days, trading between $76,962 and $81,281 per unit over the last week. The rally has prompted analysts and market strategists to issue conflicting price forecasts for the cryptocurrency.

Bullish Outlooks

Bernstein's lead analyst Gautam Chhugani predicts bitcoin will reach $125,000 by year-end, based on cycle analysis, mining cost multiples, and macro debasement trends. Chhugani also sees $150,000 by mid-2027 and a possible peak near $300,000.

Standard Chartered analyst Geoff Kendrick stated on August 21 that $100,000 in 2026 remains plausible and that his year-end forecast may be too low. He also suggests bitcoin could test the October 2025 high above $126,000.

Arthur Hayes, co-founder of BitMEX, said on August 26 that a year-end price of $126,000 is possible and $250,000 is feasible based on government spending patterns.

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stated in an August 20 Fox Business interview that it is "very likely" bitcoin will hit $300,000 to $400,000 per unit by 2030, citing potential momentum from regulatory clarity and institutional adoption.

Brian Vieten, senior portfolio manager at Siebert Financial, predicted bitcoin could reach $175,000 in 2027, noting that the June 30 low marked the start of a new price cycle.

Bearish Predictions

Peter Schiff, an economist and gold advocate, maintains his long-standing view that bitcoin will eventually decline toward $10,000 and eventually to zero. On recent commentary, Schiff stated he stands by his "death spiral" thesis despite the recent rally.

Mike McGlone, Bloomberg Intelligence's senior commodity strategist, has predicted bitcoin will drop to $10,000, though he noted on August 13 that downside risk exists unless bitcoin sustains moves above $69,000.

Mixed Signals

Michaƫl van de Poppe, CIO and founder of MN Fund, sees bitcoin potentially reaching $90,000 but cautioned against ruling out a 20-40% correction in September and October. He suggested a consolidation period of 2-4 months could precede moves toward all-time highs.

Price predictions in cryptocurrency markets remain inherently uncertain and have historically proven difficult to forecast accurately. While such predictions may reflect analysts' expectations, they should not be treated as guarantees of future price movement.
