Bitwise and Vise have launched diversified crypto model portfolios designed for financial advisers using the Vise platform. The partnership aims to integrate cryptocurrency allocations into the same portfolio-management framework used for equities, bonds, and alternative investments.
Vise operates a network covering more than 135,000 accounts and over $140 billion in platform assets. Bitwise manages more than $9 billion in client assets.
Simplifying Crypto Integration
Cryptocurrency allocations have traditionally been managed in isolation from standard portfolio rebalancing and tax-management processes. This partnership removes that separation by placing crypto allocations within the same household portfolio as other asset classes.
Bitwise provides the crypto research and model construction, while Vise supplies the adviser-facing portfolio infrastructure. The platform handles ongoing allocation, rebalancing, and tax-management work for crypto holdings alongside equities and fixed income.
Model Portfolios in Wealth Management
Model portfolios are already established in traditional wealth management, providing standardized allocations that advisers can adjust based on individual client risk profiles and objectives. Bitwise is applying this structure to crypto-themed exchange-traded products.
This approach potentially makes digital-asset exposure easier for advisers to manage across hundreds or thousands of client accounts. The timing aligns with rapid growth in third-party model portfolio assets and the regulatory approval of spot crypto ETFs, which fit more naturally into existing brokerage infrastructure.
By integrating cryptocurrency into routine portfolio management processes, this partnership represents a quieter form of crypto adoption that may reach a broader base of conventional investors compared to traditional exchange-based approaches.
