Bitwise introduced a U.S. spot exchange‑traded fund (ETF) for NEAR Protocol under the ticker NRR, providing regulated access to the token. In its first session the fund recorded roughly $35.99 million in net inflows, bringing total assets to about $36.5 million.
Following the ETF listing, NEAR’s price rose to approximately $5.10, up from a recent range of $4.60–$5.57. The price peaked at $5.57 before declining again, indicating that the rally’s structure may have weakened.
Trading volume over the past two days has been between $1.2 billion and $1.3 billion, suggesting heightened interest. Analysts note that sustained volume will be needed for the price to retest the $5.57 level; a drop in volume could expose support near $4.60.
Institutional demand channel
The ETF requires the trust to purchase actual NEAR tokens, potentially shifting demand from crypto exchanges to a regulated product. Bitwise plans to stake 100% of the NEAR held in the fund, with gross staking rewards near 4.9% and net rewards around 3.3%.
Network activity
NEAR’s “Intents” activity shows continued usage, with lifetime volume of $32.79 billion, $1.17 billion moved in the past week, and a 24‑hour volume of $213.7 million. Fees generated from this activity total $51.5 million, indicating ongoing economic activity on the network.
If user‑driven activity remains strong, NEAR could see broader adoption beyond ETF‑related demand.
