Cardano Founder Charles Hoskinson Challenges Critics Amid Leadership Debate

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has challenged critics who called for his removal from the Cardano ecosystem, asking them to explain step-by-step how the price of ADA could soar without his involvement.

His remarks followed criticism sparked by a post from DexHunter. One critic argued that Hoskinson should be removed from all roles associated with Cardano, claiming his departure would give the network and its Cardano Native Tokens greater potential to surge. In response, Hoskinson challenged detractors to present a detailed alternative and identify what he currently controls within Cardano, shifting the debate toward the network's governance and decentralization structure.

The exchange highlights ongoing disagreements within the community regarding Cardano's development pace, market performance, and leadership. ADA has fallen sharply from its 2021 peak, trading at $0.2212, which represents a 92.88% decline from its all-time high of $3.10. This prolonged downturn has pushed Cardano out of the top ten cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, placing ADA at the 15th spot.

While critics attribute part of these struggles to Hoskinson and his company, Input Output Global, supporters emphasize that Cardano's transition toward community-led governance distributes responsibility across token holders, developers, and ecosystem participants.

Hoskinson has acknowledged suffering personal losses of about $3 billion from the downturn. Nevertheless, he maintains an optimistic outlook for ADA's recovery, anticipating that the token will rebound as major initiatives like the Leios scaling upgrade and hard forks are completed. He has also expressed goals for ADA to return to the top ten cryptocurrencies by the end of the year and eventually reach the number one position on CoinMarketCap, though these projections face substantial market and adoption hurdles.
