Asset-backed credit attracted fresh onchain capital for a second consecutive week, according to Centrifuge's October 16, 2026 update. The inflows follow a prior week in which new capital moved primarily toward Treasuries, gold, and asset-backed credit.
According to Dune Analytics' Q3 2026 report on the tokenized real-world asset market, tokenized credit has more than doubled over the past year. Approximately two-thirds of this growth traces to traditional lending products, including home-equity lines and middle-market loans.
Collateral Role Expands
Tokenized credit has become the leading real-world asset collateral category in decentralized finance lending protocols. Per Dune, most RWA deposits in these protocols now fall under tokenized credit.
Centrifuge's Multichain Expansion
Centrifuge, an issuer of tokenized fixed-income products, has recently deployed high-yield bond products on Circle's Arc and on Stellar. These deployments have coincided with growth in holder counts and value on Stellar.
Market Context
The expansion of tokenized credit is largely driven by established loan types rather than experimental products. Observer sentiment around the data has been generally positive, reflecting interest in deploying real-world assets on blockchains.
The growth of tokenized credit as DeFi collateral raises implications for protocol health, as it ties the performance of lending platforms more directly to real-world borrower performance. For Centrifuge, sustained inflows across networks would validate its multichain strategy.
