Dash [DASH] climbed 17.5% on Coinbase as traders turned attention to privacy-focused cryptocurrencies. The rally pushed DASH to its highest price since May, with the token reaching $55.76 after opening the day at $47.46 and climbing as high as $56.85.
The move reflects broader momentum in privacy-related digital assets. Zcash [ZEC] recently surpassed $1,000 and entered the top ten by market capitalization for the first time, suggesting increased market interest in privacy coins.
Trading activity increased noticeably alongside the price movement, with money flows into the asset supporting its upward trajectory. DASH has gained approximately 85% from its mid-August level near $30, though no major project announcement has been confirmed to explain the gains, suggesting the movement represents market rotation rather than catalyst-driven demand.
Price resistance levels
The $55 to $57 range represents a critical area for DASH's momentum. The token reached this region twice in May but was unable to sustain gains above it. A break above $57 could place $60 within reach, while a decline below $55 may trigger profit-taking among recent buyers.
If the price retreats, $48 marks the first support level where buyers may attempt to halt the decline. A larger pullback could return DASH toward the $43 to $44 region.
