DeepSigma, a decentralized exchange for real-world asset derivatives, has launched a demo allowing users to paper-trade perpetual futures across 77 markets including US equities, indexes, commodities and Treasury yields.
Built on the Cypherium blockchain, DeepSigma aims to bridge gaps between traditional finance and crypto markets. Traditional brokers often restrict trading outside market hours or by geography, while crypto-native perpetual exchanges may lack the liquidity and tools for traditional assets.
The platform extends crypto's perpetual futures model to traditional financial markets without tokenizing or holding underlying assets. Instead, contracts use external price data to track real-world markets, enabling traders to gain long or short exposure.
DeepSigma's development team includes veterans from Goldman Sachs, Citadel Securities, Google and Uber. The leadership includes Sky Guo as CEO and founder of Cypherium, Albert Xu as CFO, Chaoran Wang as CTO and Jenny Chen as chief quant director.
According to its technical whitepaper, the platform plans to offer perpetual contracts with no expiration dates using funding rates, oracle-based mark prices and an order book. The matching engine and clearinghouse operate on Cypherium, which combines proof-of-work with HotStuff-based Byzantine fault-tolerant consensus.
DeepSigma plans to support cross-chain collateral including USDC from Ethereum and Solana, alongside risk controls such as partial liquidations, position limits, circuit breakers, automatic deleveraging and an insurance mechanism.
The platform is also developing an AI market analysis desk and natural-language assistant to help traders assess macroeconomic developments, earnings, interest rates and other market events. These tools would provide portfolio-aware insights without authority to execute trades or control assets.
The company designed the platform around US regulatory frameworks from the outset, though execution, liquidity, oracle reliability and regulatory approach—particularly for securities-linked derivatives—will determine its competitive standing.
