WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Digital Sovereignty Alliance (DSA), a nonprofit organization focused on public policy, research, and education surrounding emerging technologies, announced the completion of its inaugural Digital Asset Case Study Course at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School.
Developed by the DSA in collaboration with Giveback Backpack and Professor Charles C.Y. Wang—the Tandon Family Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School—the four-session program introduced high school students to intersections of technology, markets, governance, and public policy.
The program concluded with a final session featuring a case study on Axie Infinity and Sky Mavis co-founder Jeff Zirlin. Students analyzed the company's business model and evolution while discussing digital ownership, community-driven economies, leadership, and challenges facing businesses operating in the Web3 sector.
Throughout the four sessions, students utilized the case method to examine real-world questions involving Alibaba, Coinbase, and Wells Fargo. Rather than relying on traditional lectures, Professor Wang guided students through analysis, discussion, and debate, encouraging them to defend their reasoning and work through complex business decisions.
Adrian Wall, Managing Director of DSA, noted that the curriculum was designed to help students engage critically with technologies that will influence business, public policy, and society. The educational initiative forms part of the DSA's broader mission to equip young people with the critical-thinking skills necessary to evaluate emerging decentralized technologies and digital assets.
