Ethereum Leads Stablecoins and Tokenization as ETH Price Tests $2,206 Support

Ethereum continues to lead other smart contract platforms in stablecoins, tokenized assets, applications, developers, and investment products, according to Grayscale. The asset manager estimates that nearly $140 billion in stablecoins operate on Ethereum, representing around half of the total market, and that the network hosts about 40% of tokenized assets—more than twice the share of its closest competitor.

Ethereum's Dominance in Stablecoins and Tokenization

Grayscale describes Ethereum as an operating system for digital commerce, where developers build applications powered by smart contracts. The firm's figures place Ethereum first among smart contract platforms in several areas. The nearly $140 billion in stablecoins on the network track currencies such as the US dollar, allowing users to hold and transfer dollar-linked value.

Ethereum also accounts for about 40% of tokenized assets, according to Grayscale. BlackRock, WisdomTree, and Invesco are among the issuers using Ethereum for tokenized products. Grayscale counts more than 2,000 applications on Ethereum itself and another 6,000 across its Layer 2 networks, which process activity alongside Ethereum and connect back to its base layer to help expand capacity.

The firm also says Ethereum has more developers than any competing network. It points to more than $13 billion in US exchange-traded products holding ETH exposure and more than $3 billion in open interest on CME-listed futures.

ETH Price Faces Support Test at $2,206

Ethereum's network position has not prevented uncertainty around its market price. More Crypto Online identified $2,206.83 as the upper edge of an orange support zone, saying a break below that level could expose a lower target range of $2,069 to $1,832, with broader support as low as $1,724. The analyst stressed that Ethereum had yet to establish a confirmed bottom.

CoinGecko data put ETH at $2,238.03 at press time, slightly above the analyst's $2,206.83 level. At that price, ETH had gained 0.45% over 24 hours but was down 0.08% over seven days.

Grayscale's data describe Ethereum's adoption across financial infrastructure, while chart levels reflect near-term trading conditions. Strong usage does not guarantee an immediate recovery in ETH's price. Ethereum's long-term case rests on whether stablecoins, tokenized assets, and applications continue attracting users and institutions. Traders, meanwhile, are watching whether ETH can hold the $2,206 area. The network leads several adoption measures, but its price has yet to confirm a durable bottom.
