A spoof website for the Republican Party’s upcoming midterm convention is rising to the top of Google search results and redirecting visitors directly to files on Jeffrey Epstein.
The domain gopdallas2026.com appeared as the primary result for searches related to the party’s midterm event in Dallas and immediately redirected clicks to the Department of Justice’s Epstein files repository, reports NBC 7 San Diego.
Users clicking the site were taken straight to the Epstein files page.
The page previously featured imagery of the American Airlines Center in Dallas along with a contact form for updates but included a clear disclaimer stating it was an independent resource not affiliated with the Republican National Committee, the convention, or the venue.
Republicans quickly denounced the site on social media, labeling reports “FAKE NEWS!” and directing users to the official GOPConvention.com instead.
Democratic Representative Ted Lieu of California confirmed the redirect after testing the site and called it “sort of awesome.”
The prank has revived criticism of the Trump administration’s handling of the Epstein files, which were mandated for release under the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
The two-day convention, the first-ever midterm event hosted by the Republican Party, is scheduled for September 9 to 10 at the American Airlines Center.
Says RNC spokesperson Zach Kraft,
“Never before in history has any major party held a midterm convention, and President Trump wants to focus in on that and open this up to the American people, because all of his work has been about improving their lives.”
