Hyperliquid has integrated its perpetual futures markets into Bloomberg Terminal, giving institutional investors real-time access to the protocol's instruments alongside traditional assets. The Bloomberg integration covers markets linked to cryptocurrencies, commodities including oil and gold, the S&P 500, chipmakers, and foreign exchange pairs—all trading continuously on Hyperliquid.
Michael McDonough, Head of Market Innovation at Bloomberg Terminal, announced the feature is now available for monitoring and price comparison. The integration does not enable users to execute Hyperliquid trades directly through Bloomberg.
The development positions Hyperliquid's perpetual DEX within the professional workflow used by banks, hedge funds, asset managers, and trading desks to monitor global markets. Industry observers noted the significance lies in distribution, as Bloomberg Terminal remains core infrastructure for institutional finance.
New Revenue Stream for Token Buybacks
Hyperliquid received its first $14.58 million USDC payment under the AQAv2 framework, which will fund token buybacks through the protocol's Assistance Fund. This payment covers a 30-day period.
Under the mechanism, approximately 90% of cost-adjusted reserve yield generated from USDC supply is directed to Hyperliquid and allocated to HYPE purchases. With roughly $7.3 billion in outstanding USDC supply on the platform, estimates suggest the mechanism could generate approximately $200 million in annual revenue at current rates when combined with protocol fees.
Token Performance and Holder Expansion
HYPE traded above $95 following these developments, approaching the $100 level. The token's all-time high of $97.96 was set in September. According to Hyperliquid News, more than 50,000 wallets now hold over 10 HYPE tokens, the highest figure since August 15.
