Florida Athletics, the intercollegiate sports program of the University of Florida, has signed a multiyear sponsorship agreement with Ripple. The partnership will place the XRP logo on the field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium beginning with the 2026 football season and will also encompass digital properties and event signage.
While official financial terms were not disclosed by Florida or Ripple, an Associated Press report citing a person familiar with the negotiations placed the value of the agreement at $5 million annually.
University of Florida Athletic Director Scott Stricklin stated that the partnership brings together two organizations that think boldly about the future. In addition to athletic branding, the arrangement includes support for financial and technology education across the campus community and for student-athletes.
The sponsorship is made possible following a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rule change that began in 2024, permitting commercial field advertisements during regular-season football games. Florida previously sold temporary field advertising to Geico for two home games in 2025. The agreement with Ripple coincides with a planned $1.45 billion renovation of the stadium targeted for completion before the 2030 football season.
This agreement follows a multiyear arrangement Ripple reached with the University of Kansas to place XRP branding on Jayhawk athletic uniforms. Beyond college sports, Ripple has engaged in university partnerships focused on application development for the XRP Ledger, including an accelerator initiative with the University of California, Berkeley.
