Crypto firm Ripple has signed a multi-year partnership with Florida Athletics, marking its second major sports sponsorship deal. Under the agreement, the XRP logo will be prominently featured on the field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, famously known as ‘The Swamp,’ starting with the 2026 Florida football season.
Ripple confirmed the partnership on social media. The arrangement follows a five-year jersey patch partnership signed in July between Ripple and the Kansas Jayhawks, which features the XRP logo on the team’s jersey.
University of Florida Director of Athletics Scott Stricklin commented on the collaboration, stating that Florida has a history of embracing innovation and technology. He noted that Ripple is an innovative leader in financial technology and that the partnership brings together two organizations focused on the future.
Beyond on-field branding, the agreement includes a long-term commitment to the university. Ripple will support financial and technology education for Florida student-athletes and the campus community, encompassing both traditional finance and digital assets.
According to the Associated Press, citing individuals familiar with the negotiations, the sponsorship deal is set to generate up to $5 million annually. The agreement adds to a broader trend of crypto firms expanding their reach through sports sponsorships, joining recent deals involving companies like Circle, Galaxy Digital, Coinbase, OKX, and Kraken.
