On July 27, the first trading session after Flight 13, SpaceX stock closed at $113.50, below the $115.07 price on launch day and the $119.85 closing on July 20. However, the equity rebounded following SpaceX's first quarterly filing as a publicly traded company.
By September 25 in pre-market trading, SpaceX stock reached $149.36, meaning a $1,000 investment made during the Flight 13 launch window would have appreciated to $1,315.95 ahead of the next milestone.
Starship Flight 14 Objectives
The next test flight, scheduled for September 28, represents a more ambitious technological goal than Flight 13. Starship Flight 14 aims to deploy Starlink satellites and achieve a sustained orbital trajectory for the first time. SpaceX will use the reusable Super Heavy rocket but will not attempt to catch it, reserving that experiment for Flight 15. The test was initially scheduled for September 22 before being delayed.
Stock Price Outlook
Analysts view Flight 14 as unlikely to significantly move SpaceX stock, given the minimal reaction to Flight 13's success and the company's broader business diversification beyond rockets and satellites. SpaceX now operates military-focused Starshield services and has expanded into social media and artificial intelligence ventures.
With limited historical data from SpaceX's time as a public company and the stock appearing to consolidate, a major price catalyst may not emerge until two to three months ahead, potentially tied to new product announcements or business developments.
