StandX, a decentralized perpetual futures exchange founded by former Binance Futures head Aaron Gong and other industry veterans, has announced a gradual shutdown of operations. The decision follows a strategic review of business and market conditions.
Since launching its mainnet in November 2025, StandX served more than 237,000 users and recorded a peak total value locked (TVL) of over $200 million. The platform experienced zero fund security incidents throughout its operating history.
Shutdown Timeline and Service Closures
Starting October 15, 2026, all yield distributions will end, including DUSD yield, position yield, market-making rewards, and referral commissions. New vault deposits will also close on this date.
Perpetual futures trading will transition to reduce-only status on October 20, 2026, meaning users can close positions but cannot open new trades or increase exposure. New registrations and DUSD minting will stop as well.
On January 15, 2027, StandX will close all remaining open positions at the prevailing mark price, cancel outstanding orders, and settle vaults. Users will have until January 31, 2027 to withdraw assets and submit DUSD redemption requests. Redemptions submitted by the deadline may take up to seven days to process, with completion expected by February 7, 2027.
DUSD Airdrop for Eligible Users
Despite canceling its planned native platform token launch, StandX will distribute a one-time DUSD airdrop to eligible community members. Allocations will be based on user activity, including pre-deposits, Alpha participation, mainnet trading, market making, and referrals, subject to anti-Sybil and wash-trading checks.
The airdrop checker will launch on October 26, 2026. Claims will open on November 1 and close on December 31, 2026. Eligible users can claim their full allocation without lockup and may immediately transfer, trade, or redeem DUSD. Unclaimed allocations will be forfeited after the deadline.
