Strategy is asking shareholders to approve a shift to daily dividends across its four U.S.-listed preferred stocks: STRF, STRC, STRK, and STRD. A shareholder vote on the proposal is scheduled for October 28.
Under the proposed change, dividends would accrue every calendar day—including weekends and holidays—and be paid on the next business day. The adjustment changes payment timing while leaving dividend rates and total regular payout amounts unchanged. If approved, STRC's first daily dividend would be paid on November 2.
The initiative is primarily targeted at STRC, which has remained below its $100 stated value since May. Despite featuring a 12% annual dividend rate, STRC previously transitioned from monthly to bi-monthly payments in June and fell as low as $71 during a bitcoin selloff in that same month. The asset was recently priced around $98.65.
Strategy stated that daily payments could make STRC more attractive to income investors by reducing the wait time to receive and reinvest dividends, as well as smoothing price movements around payment dates. The primary goal of the change is to support a trading price closer to $100.
Alongside the dividend proposal, Strategy has utilized a preferred share buyback program, spending approximately $1 billion on repurchases. This figure includes $174 million spent on STRC during the week ended September 20, as part of a broader $2 billion repurchase program.
