Strategy’s deployable cash balance fell 45.3% during the week ended Nov. 1, decreasing from $242 million to $133 million. The decline reflects a $208 million outlay for preferred‑stock repurchases that outpaced the firm’s Bitcoin purchases.

Bitcoin purchases

The company bought 811 Bitcoin between Oct. 26 and Nov. 1, spending about $66 million at an average price of $80,846 per coin. The acquisition raised Strategy’s total Bitcoin holdings to 849,327 BTC, representing an aggregate cost of $64 billion at an average price of $75,451 per coin.

Preferred‑stock repurchases

During the same period, Strategy repurchased approximately 2,092,035 STRC shares for $208 million, a new weekly record. The average price paid was about $99.52 per share, close to the security’s $100 stated value. This repurchase amount was more than three times the spend on Bitcoin.

Cash flow and reserves

Strategy sold roughly 1,178,552 shares of its common stock through an at‑the‑market offering, generating $164 million in net proceeds. About $66 million of those proceeds funded the Bitcoin purchase, while $99 million was added to the deployable cash balance before the STRC buybacks reduced it.

The firm also maintains a separate USD reserve of $4.79 billion, used for preferred‑stock dividends and debt interest. The reserve declined slightly after a $43 million dividend payment.

Capital management context

Since launching its preferred‑stock repurchase program in July, Strategy has spent over $2 billion on STRC buybacks. The company retains authorization for additional repurchases, including $749 million under its digital credit securities program and an unused $1 billion for common‑share repurchases.
