Strive, a publicly traded Bitcoin treasury company based in Dallas, announced the purchase of 124 Bitcoin between October 24 and October 30. The acquisition cost roughly $10 million, at an average price of $80,526 per coin, and was funded primarily from existing cash reserves.
The new purchase brings Strive’s total Bitcoin holdings to 43,124 BTC, valued at approximately $3.3 billion based on Bitcoin’s price of about $77,000. This positions the firm as the fourth‑largest public holder of Bitcoin, trailing Twenty One Capital by 390 BTC and Metaplanet by 876 BTC.
Funding and preferred‑stock program
Strive’s cash balance fell from $504.4 million to $490.4 million during the week of the purchase. The company also tapped a newly launched preferred‑stock offering, known as SATS, for the first time, raising capital that covered the entire week’s fundraising needs. Strive holds 505,000 shares of the preferred stock, valued at roughly $50 million.
Financial metrics
The firm’s amplification ratio, which measures preferred‑stock and debt obligations against the value of its Bitcoin holdings, stood at 62.7%, indicating $62.70 of obligations for every $100 of Bitcoin.
Industry context
Twenty One Capital currently holds 43,514 BTC, while Tokyo‑listed Metaplanet reports a stash of 44,000 BTC. At Strive’s recent acquisition rate, it could overtake Twenty One Capital in about four weeks and Metaplanet in roughly eight weeks, assuming no additional purchases by the competitors.
