Strive has purchased another 1,800 BTC for roughly $143 million at an average price of $79,431 per coin, CEO Matt Cole announced Monday. The acquisition raises the company's total Bitcoin holdings to 23,156 BTC, valued at approximately $1.76 billion.
The purchase continues Strive's aggressive accumulation strategy. The company, which trades on the Nasdaq under the ticker ASST following its merger with Asset Entities earlier this year, has been steadily building its Bitcoin treasury through multiple tranches of buying, including an $81 million purchase completed alongside a share sale.
Strive is part of a growing cohort of public companies that have adopted Bitcoin treasury strategies, a model pioneered by MicroStrategy. These firms raise capital specifically to accumulate Bitcoin and align their performance with the asset's price movements.
The timing reflects renewed sector-wide buying momentum. MicroStrategy this week ended a roughly two-month pause with a $370 million Bitcoin purchase, its first since June. Similarly, Bitmine made its largest Ethereum purchase since June, indicating that corporate treasury firms are increasing accumulation as cryptocurrency prices have recovered.
Bitcoin traded around $78,600 on Monday, with August tracking to close as the month's strongest performance since 2017, up more than 24% for the month. Strive's average purchase price on the latest tranche sits just above current trading levels.
