Strive (NASDAQ: ASST) purchased 1,355 Bitcoin for $107.7 million, according to an announcement by CEO Matt Cole on Monday, September 21, 2026. The acquisition brought the company's total Bitcoin holdings to 26,355 BTC.
The purchase came at an average price of $79,475 per coin. Strive's stock traded up more than 6% in pre-market trading following the announcement, continuing a month-long rally that had pushed the stock above $30 by September 18.
Strive's Bitcoin accumulation pace
Since its September 2025 merger, Strive has built a consistent purchasing rhythm. Recent acquisitions include 1,800 coins in late August, 1,375 coins the following week, 469 coins in the subsequent week, and this week's 1,355 BTC purchase.
While larger holders exist in the market, Strive distinguishes itself through the frequency and volume of its weekly purchases. Strategy (NASDAQ: MSTR) remains substantially larger with 846,000 BTC worth $71.9 billion, though Strategy's most recent purchase of 950 BTC occurred on the same day as Strive's announcement. Twenty One Capital ranks second among other holders with 43,514 BTC.
Funding mechanisms
Strive has primarily funded its Bitcoin purchases through SATA, its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock, which pays a 13% dividend on business days. Earlier in September, SATA crossed $1 billion in notional value.
The latest purchase drew 57.7% of its capital from SATA, with the remainder coming from warrant exercises that generated $21.2 million in gross proceeds. The warrant proceeds mark a new funding avenue for the company beyond its daily-dividend preferred stock program.
Stock performance and valuation
ASST stock has appreciated significantly since August 18, when it closed at $12.80. By September 18, it had reached above $30, representing a gain of more than 120% in one month. Year-to-date performance shows approximately 90% gains, with the company's market value around $2.5 billion to $2.6 billion.
The stock rally has restored SATA to its $100 par value, maintaining the at-the-market program that funds Strive's Bitcoin acquisitions. At current prices, Strive's 26,355 Bitcoin holdings are valued at approximately $2.2 billion.
